Armin Only! 2006 : Armin Only! 2006 in Ahoy Rotterdam. Better organised than last year, bigger than last year, but not as good. Mainly the lack of screens was my gripe. It was hard to see anything in the back and overcrowed in the front. Music was superb, so not complaints there.

FFWD Dance Parade 2006 : Dance Parade in Rotterdam is always the mid-point of the summer party seaons. Usually the skies look darker than they actually are, but this year is was worse. We had a soaken wet dance parade with about an hour of sunshine in between. Neverthless I had a terrific day and enjoyed myself thoroughly! Thanks to everyone who was there for making it happen! :hug:

Mysteryland 2006 : Our first day of our vacation happened in style with a visit to the seasons finale of outdoor summer festivals: Mysteryland in the Floriade park near Amsterdam. The line-up was great but despite that, Petra and I couldn't find a suitable podium/stage and everytime we came somewhere, the music was bad or good, but not godo enough. So it wasn't a great day. However, we had tons of friends there and that made up for something. It wasn't until the very end that we landed at 100% Isis's DJ set that really got us going. However, by then we were too exhausted to fully enjoy it. :( Oh well, can't all be good.

Awakenings : Awakenings in the Westergasfabriek. It's an event you have to have experienced! The huge round gastank transoformed into a techno walhalla. Giant podium on one end, small bleachers on the other, big dancefloor in between. Awakenings is reknowned for their laser show and that alone was enough reason to go. In addition, Mistress Barbara, our favorite techno DJ made an appearance and she is always worth your while. So Sjoerd got tickets for Sander, Caro, Astrid, Martin, Jeanette, Melika and me and we let ourselves be swept away by the unstoppable beats of Joris Voorn :respect: and the Mistress :respect: What a night! The pictures don't do this visual extravagance any justice at all... Still hope you enjoy the pictures! :)

Tiesto.com in HMH : First event I shot with my new IXUS 55. I'm still learning this camera. There are plenty of options and I almost found the best ones. I took lots of pictures of the lights. It was amazing, the photos are not good. It was very hard to get it right. Everything is unedited, as you an see, many duplicates. Sorry, not time to edit. It was an outstanding show. Tiësto was as good as he used to be. (Had a bad show on Ibiza) Great music, awesome light/laser show and glad to hear him again.

It was a hall of the Ahoy in Rotterdam and spacious and cozy at the same time. Good crowd, not too massive. And *excellent* music! He's not #3 of the world for nothing! W00t

Asta ex-pornstar : Eons ago, while Petra was in Aruba, I visited the Asta in Den Haag for a Pornstar party. Music is kinda heavier, more techno-like, and the DJs were those I had wanted to hear for a while now. So I headed down to see what it was like. Sebastian Légèr was fine, but somehow the party wasn't my thing... So I did some testing with the IXUS V3 under low-light conditions to see if I could get decent pictures. The results are... a nice try, but no. :(

Extrema Outdoor 2005 : The ultimate summer dance festival in the middle of summer! Extrema Outdoor is a brilliant party, set in greens, with tres, shade and bushes, a beach and water that's shallow enough to wade through while you're listening to dance music, chatting with friends, making new friends and seeing a lot of happy people. It's a modern day Woodstock, I guess! This year we had a lot of friends with us and Petra and I had a wonderful day in the sun. Thanks to everyone who was there!

Dance Valley 2004 - A Decade of Dance : Pictures of the 10th Anniversary festival of Dance Valley in Spaarnwoude, near Amsterdam. This year, 160+ DJs gave their all to provide a once in a lifetime edition of Dance Valley. The clouds broke around 2pm and from then on, clear blue and sunny skies warmed up the crowds until late in the evening. 50,000 visitors went crazy over Carl Cox's closing set at the main stage and then all went home for well deserved rest. Petra took great photos of all of us sitting and dancing or chilling!

Extrema Outdoor 2004 : Great, great, GREAT outdoor party in one of Holland nicest water parks! Extrema Outdoor 2004 was outstanding due to excellent sunny weather (25+ C) for just a day, top crowds, a nice "little" downpour to thin the crowd and weed out all the pussies! ;) I hope the pictures give a good impression. Everything was perfect except perhaps the sanitation facilities... :( Oh well, can't have it all! Greatg big thank you to all my friends who were there with me! :hug:

Nacht van de TT 2004 : The annual TT in Assen (motorcycle GrandPrix) brings a whole slew of festivities to this little town in the North of Holland. Starting on Thrusday evening with music, pubs and drinking, hundreds of motorcycles, a fair, thousands of tourists from everywhere, the races and qualifying on Friday through Saturday, this event is something to see. Trance Energy 2004 : After the great party last year, this year we were eager to go to Trance Energy again! Revolution : Revolution is a dance event in Heineken Music Hall (HMH) with some big names. We went there for Remy and Tiësto, the current #1 DJ world-wide and our favorite too. It was also an occasion to see almost the whole group of friends again! :hug: Although the evening started slow, it ended with a bang with Tiësto and DJ Cross. Mysteryland 2003 : Kinda the final season party. School's started again so one of the last major parties people go to. This year held on the Floriade grounds... OMG, gorgeous terrain, plenty of room for 40000 people and soo many tents to go to and DJs to see. Mecca - PINK night : The cool and trendy beach club Mecca on the Noorderstrand in Scheveningen, hosted a rosé party on Sunday. Sponsor was the new brand PINK, that I tasted on a previous ZANDhap already. Musical entertainment provided by WickedJazzSounds. Needless to say I went there...
